It’s a grey skies rainy day here in Melbourne and being the start of a new week, I know some people can find Mondays a challenging time to feel happy and joyful after a (possible) carefree weekend of little or no responsibilities.
It’s no secret that your ATTITUDE is an all important factor in everything you do, but I can’t stress it’s importance enough if you’re wanting to feel calmer and more at peace.
Brain science now shows that what you think about most will become your reality. It’s not just hearsay anymore – science has proved it. If you tune in to and claim your thoughts (and maybe feelings) of “oh gosh, it’s Monday and all my responsibilities are weighing me down” (or something else to that effect), then yep, you can be sure you’ll start feeling tired, frustrated and maybe even irritable and overwhelmed.
It’s prudent to acknowledge that certain days and times can be challenging and also to accept your feelings, but the danger lies in claiming them as your truth and ‘just the way life is’. You CAN change your thinking and your feelings. Yes sometimes it’s hard to do and even harder to maintain, but it CAN be done, each moment, one day at a time.
If you want to enjoy your day, feel alive and enthused, motivated and ready to pursue your dreams, start every day with checking your thoughts and observe your thinking regularly as you go through your day. Remaining vigilant with your thoughts allows you to know when it’s time to stop thinking, breathe deeply and slowly, remind yourself that you CAN handle all you want and need to do and that you’re ok, right in this moment.
If you slow down, stop and breathe and bring your focus back to simply being still for a moment, your creative abilities will expand, you’ll find calm and peaceful ways to overcome all obstacles, you’ll worry less and stop comparing yourself to others and your life will become more manageable and way more peaceful.
Your attitude is by far the hardest thing to master and without a doubt, the most important part of the human journey. To grow and mature each day so you create the life you aspire to, your attitude is the primary factor in whether you’ll succeed – or not.
Neglect it at your peril, nurture it and Every Day Gets Better.

Yes I definitely find it harder when in the depths of winter! You’re right, if we’re allowing our minds to run riot, it’s hard to notice anything much at all. Life can become one big fog of confusion without enough stillness and quiet breathing. It’s always to connect with you Sara. Thank you for stopping by ?❤️

Thanks for another good post, Wendy! The weather can certainly affect moods. Being still and noticing how you’re feeling can help in starting to change it.
