Taking good care of your mind and body takes time, sometimes requires patience and always requires diligence, a bit of research and above all, finding things that are right for you.
There no shortage of inferior products in the marketplace, on and off line, claiming to be good for your health and well-being when, if you’ve done your homework and researched well, you’ll soon see that the promises companies often make are purely to sell you their product – your health isn’t a consideration at all.
Yes they seem legitimate, in their nice eco looking packaging (but often plastic!) and you may even see the words ‘organic and natural’ on the bottle, but unless it’s certified to food grade organic standards, it’s more than likely a concoction of synthetic chemicals with maybe a few herbs or natural ingredients thrown in – in miniscule amounts. Honestly, these synthetic supplements are a total waste of your money and can even be damaging to your health.
Its always best to look for the Certified Organic logo. Choose products that contain ingredients that are fully certified to food grade standards and not just a few Certified Organic ingredients and definitely stay away from those synthetic chemical names you can’t even pronounce!
The only supplements I recommend are vegan friendly, (no animal cruelty involved), certified organic, (ACO Certified Organic), gluten free and come in fully compostable packaging (better for the environment). Vitamins and minerals made solely from pure and potent certified organic superfoods. Plus they are more reasonably priced than many of the nasties on the chemist or supermarket shelves!
Now if you follow a great plant based, wholefoods, vegan nutrition plan, recommended as the healthiest diet by leading Physicians, Doctors and Nutritionists (and backed by extensive research) around the world, you’re well on your way to having and maintaining great health, but we all need a boost at times of personal stress and especially when we’re exposed to environmental toxins regularly and the types of situations occurring in the world today.
