I am busily sorting, packing and preparing for a move to a new home which is why I’ve not been writing much of late. The whole process has brought many thoughts, worries and irrational fears for my brain to deal with. I’ve been over tired, feeling stressed and confused amongst many other emotions that have threatened to disrupt my sanity.
So what to do about it all?
Am I to allow my emotions to consume me or am I going to do my absolute best to ride through the changes and come out triumphant? I’ve never been one to give up so the answer is undeniably YES, YES, YES, bring on change in all it’s forms no matter how uncomfortable it may feel at the time!!
Because you see, to embrace change brings great personal growth and usually a better life situation than the one you are currently experiencing. Clinging to the past and avoiding change is a draining and exhausting procedure and brings more stress and confusion than most can possibly imagine.
The only way is to accept that change will always be a major part of your life and it’s best to deal with it with good preparation, clear aims and goals, a practical plan, plenty of rest amongst the chaos change can often bring, keep up with healthy nutrition, ask for help and be sure to take quiet time every day and visualise the outcome you are wanting.
I’ve practiced all these things for many years and I’m relieved to say that despite feeling panic, fear and even dread at times, I’ve created a wonderful new home to move to (early October) and a renewed feeling of determination and excitement at the coming few months and beyond.
A great verse that has helped me to remember my goals and stay on track is as follows:
My mind is a centre of divine operation and divine operation means expansion into something better than has gone before.
This quote is a shortened version of a quote by Thomas Troward.
I kept quietly visualising what I wanted and worked to generate enthusiasm and excitement, especially in those times when I felt overwhelmed and despondent.
Change can be incredibly sweet and satisfying but on the way, you are bound to meet with resistance so be prepared, remain focused and above all, know what you want.
Life does
Get Better Every Day!
