Hi there, I’m Wendy and I’m so happy to welcome you to my Blog! 😀
On these pages, I share my personal experiences and tips on living with more happiness, calmness and abundance in your life, while being kind and caring for yourself, animals and nature along the way.
I was fortunate to grow up in the country with a Mum who introduced me to the wonderful world of organic gardening, herbs and the healing powers of nature. She was passionate about nature and natural health and was also a great believer in being grateful for everything and finding the good in each person and situation you encountered. “Count your blessings dear, all day every day” she would remind me with regularity!
As a natural progression, my career path has always been in health, organics, meditation, mindfulness and personal growth.
My background is in Counselling, being the Owner/Operator of my own businesses for over 40 years, all in the field of Health, Personal Development and Stress Management. I owned one of the first Organic Grocery Stores in Melbourne, Australia in the 1970’s and later, after returning to study, went on to run my Stress Management practice for over 35 years.
With Qualifications, Accreditation’s and Certifications in Counselling, Tai Chi, Meditation and Mindfulness, I guided people to follow a healthier lifestyle, educating in the practices of Relaxation and Meditation, Mindfulness, Tai Chi, Personal Development and Self Awareness. I ran programs for people and organisations in varying fields in the welfare sector and corporate management.
I’ve experienced long term illness, (ME/CFS, Fibromyalgia and Severe Asthma) financial difficulties, business failures, divorce, break ups, close friendship losses and more deaths of loved ones than I care to count. I have recovered from most of the illnesses, (Asthma is still with me but under control) and it’s been a challenging, but enriching journey of research and trial and error to bring me to where I am now. I believe if it hadn’t been for my early training from my Mum and the vibrantly healthy lifestyle I’ve followed, including my daily mindfulness meditation practices, I may not have survived and made it to the life I now enjoy.
I believe in the great power of the human spirit, the vast love and powerful guidance of a higher power, (whatever that means to you) and I’m enthused to help others to feel better and have a happier, more peaceful, fulfilling and abundant life.
I’m a nature loving person dedicated to the well-being of animals and I live with my wonderful husband and our gorgeous (adopted/rescued) dog and cat family on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. We follow a vibrantly alive whole foods, plant based vegan and organic lifestyle and love spending time at the beach and outdoors in nature.
