In my last post I suggested that you may want to note the word VICTIM and there’s a good reason for that.
Many years ago I attended a weekend workshop titled Master Victim Consciousness. You may assume from the title that it was in the 80’s and you’d be right! It was somewhere in the early 80’s and I was constantly seeking to understand life and human nature (especially my own) more effectively. I regularly attended seminars and workshops on what was at the time termed Metaphysical Awareness or Consciousness. It was a new and growing movement and kind of an offshoot of basic psychology, only dealing more with the possibilities that lie within each individual’s brain, rather than their behavior traits, although that was taken into account as well.
I found it so exciting and I was sponge like, in that I took in all manner of concepts and ideas and tried them out in my every day life, some to great success and others not so much. I loved this whole time of learning new things and becoming more aware of myself and others and the studies I did way back then have been of great importance to me ever since. This was when I first began actually believing that I could change my life and create the type of lifestyle I desired.
In other words, I learnt that I could be a Master of each situation that came my way, or a Victim – it was up to me to choose which one I wanted to be.
I wasn’t to know that despite my best efforts to lead a happy, healthy and prosperous life I would encounter so many challenging opportunities to put into practice everything I’d discovered. I didn’t know such a rocky road lay ahead. Innocence was bliss!
Are you a Master of your every day circumstances or do you find your self being shunted and pulled all over the place by the happenings in your life and by those around you?
Would you like to learn more about how to effectively master your day to day challenges and feel at peace with yourself and your many decisions?
Stay tuned – I have some exciting things to share with you on how to make sure Every Day Gets Better!
Wendy 🙂
