Keep your mind calm and your body healthy so you can better help yourself, your loved ones, animals, nature – our magnificent Earth.
I’ve practiced QiGong and Tai Chi since the early 80’s and I just love it – and if you like practices that are calming and strengthening, I think you’ll love it too!
Why I choose and recommend QiGong and Tai Chi as health giving, deeply relaxing practices.
The ancient practices of QiGong and Tai Chi support Body, Mind and Spirit. It is simple to learn, easy to practice and not only do studies show great benefits over time, but each time you practice the gentle flowing movements, you’ll instantly feel an inner calm and be more at peace with the world around you.
Qigong’s gentle movements help to move blood and oxygen around the body, nourishing the organs and tissues, therefore promoting healing. Due to the focus of the mind to the breath and physical movements, QiGong helps you quieten your mind, easing emotional stress and anxiety.
Qigong is simple to learn and enjoyable to do. Even a few minutes of practise per day can have an invigorating and rejuvenating effect. Regular practice brings about a deep strengthening effect for the whole body and its various systems (nervous, digestive, respiratory, skeleton-muscular, hormonal, gynaecological, etc).
Tai Chi is a more formal practice of QiGong but if you’re just beginning, it’s recommended you start with QiGong, but that’s not essential, it’s simply a little easier. Calming your body and mind will help you to be more at peace within yourself and with the world around you.
QiGong teachers I follow and recommend are:
QiGong Master Robert Peng will lead you in powerful QiGong XI breathing and a simple and graceful Qigong movement practice called “Eight Cycles” to make your body flexible — and flow like water. When your Qi is flowing freely, your heart is open, your mind is still, and your body is calm — enabling you to feel a deep sense of peace and authentic joy.
