This very moment is so precious because it’s the ONLY moment!
I know that can sound a tad weird or esoteric, but when you think about it logically, you’ll get it.
A minute ago doesn’t exist – it’s gone and a minute from now doesn’t exist yet so all you have is this exact moment.
Right here, right now, is all there is so I think you’d agree what we do in each moment is pretty darned important!
Despite your best plans, you can’t choose exactly what will be occurring in every minute of your day, as unexpected situations and events pop up all the time, but you can always choose what thoughts you’ll allow in your mind. Evidence shows and science tells us that whatever we focus on determines whether we’ll feel happier and calmer or experience suffering.
The brain is a physical object but mind is an empty space so you have a choice, every minute of each day to decide what you want to think about.
Do you want to fill your mind with thoughts of worry and fear, fret over past occurrences, make up stories of what you think may happen in the future or would you rather dwell on thoughts of happiness, love, joy, gratitude, hope, kindness and peace?
